Bikebox Alan is so convinced of his Bikebox’s toughness he’s produced a video of the box being thrown out of a moving vehicle at 30mph!
Within it, everything has its place with instructions on the inside explaining how to pack. There are Velcro straps to secure frames of any size, and the ample foam padding protects your frame.
You need to detach the rear derailleur and saddle, and taller athletes with an integrated seat tube may need to remove their chain set to fit it into the box.
The box is made with tough polyethylene material and comes with four heavy duty clasps to ensure the box is closed (this can be secured further by padlocks or zip ties, although ours could have done with one more clasp); there’s an anti-crush pole to prevent the box been squashed under the weight of a baggage handler’s foot; and Alan even offers to personalise it.
And if your wandering, the bike does survive its 30mph trip along the road.
