Nikki was born and raised in Cheltenham. She spent her spare time playing any sports that she could, but focused on Athletics and Hockey.
In 2008, she graduated from The University of Birmingham. This is where she found a passion for rowing and gaining multiple GB university medals. In 2009 Nikki tested on the Girls For Gold Initiative by UK Sport, to find future Olympians. From here she was selected onto the GB Rowing World Class Start system. Unfortunately, after a successful career in rowing, it had to come to an end due to rib injuries. Nikki completed the Half Ironman which lead her down the path of Triathlons. In 2012, she switched sports.
Earlier this year, she was the 1st Ironman in Lanzarote.
