Road Aero Easyfit Bikebox – No removal of handlebar, generally just wheels and pedals off*.
The Road Aero Easyfit is the latest addition to the Bike box Alan Range, it is almost identical to the Triathon Aero Easyfit except that it is 11cm shorter.
It accommodates Gravel bikes **, Track bikes, up to 29 er Cross country MTB*** and 29 er enduro MTB bikes*** and the new generation of road aero bikes where it is almost impossible to remove the handlebars.
NOT SUITABLE FOR TRIATHLON AND TT BIKES (Please see our Triathlon Aero Easyfit bikebox)
Packing and unpacking of road bikes can be achieved in as little as 10 Minutes! We can proudly claim that our Easyfit range are the WORLDS easiest, safest and fastest bikebox or bike bag to pack.
The Road Easyfit has the biggest internal dimensions of any box in the world, any bigger you would risk having oversize airline charges or refused carriage, plus they wouldn’t be able to pass through x-ray machines and fit in most cars.
What components may need removing:
Will the special components on my bike fit in the Road Easyfit?
Fits 3 Wheels: There is room for 3 lightweight road wheels. So, if you are racing with either a solid rear disc wheel or a normal rear wheel, we have the bike box for you. To pack a 3rd wheel you will need to order an additional layer of foam – see upgrade options on product page.
Solid Disc: Racing wheels are safely secured in the wheel recess in the base of the bike box. You will need to order an additional anti crush pole – see upgrade options on product page.
Disc Brake Wheels: The Road Easyfit can easily accommodate disc brake wheels. Rotor discs need to face towards the centre of the box towards the foam padding.
Integrated Seat Post (I.S.P) Bikes: If you are 5 foot 11” (180cm) or less, your seat can remain in place generally. Above that you may have to remove the seat. XL bikes with an I.S.P may have to remove seat, chainwheels or chain set.
Through Axels: The wheels are secured in the wheel recesses on each side of the bike box with cushioned velcro straps. The axels can remain in the bike frame for safe keeping.
Deep Dish Wheels: All deep dish rims fit.
Tubleless Tyres: Inflated bike tyres up to 3″ (75mm) fit comfortably into the wheel indents on both sides. For safety when traveling via aeroplane, remove 5% of air pressure.
Oversized Ceramic Speed Gears: will need removing, only 1 single allen key bolt.
Features of the Road Aero Easyfit bike box:
Some Touring Bikes may fit (providing that mud guards and luggage racks are removed) and the bike is of standard road bike configuration, with 27 inch wheels. If in doubt, please contact us.
